Brandon Inge: New Bucco Veteran Hopes to Help

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) -- Brandon Inge has been around a while. But he's never been to a big league camp other than the one in Lakeland, Fla., home of the Detroit Tigers.

The longtime Tigers infielder was traded to the Oakland A's during the 2012 season.

His participation on two playoff teams in 2012 is experience that is appealing to the Pirates, who brought the veteran over to the Pittsburgh organization on a minor league deal.

"I just like to go out there and compete," said Inge, when asked about what his approach will be on studying up on a completely foreign senior circuit.

Inge caught up with Pirates pre-game and post-game show host Dan Zangrilli to discuss why he found the Bucs an appealing team that he wanted to be apart of, in addition to his philosophy on hitting as well as what he feels he can contribute to the 2013 Pirates.
