Paul Chryst Excited For Challenge Of Opening Season With Florida State

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Pitt Football Head Coach Paul Chryst said he is excited about the upcoming football schedule for his players and the fans, and hopes they'll be playing in front of a great atmosphere.

Chryst joined Starkey, Miller and Muller on The FAN to talk about the unveiling of Pitt's 2013 football schedule, and said he isn't worried about replacing Villanova with Florida State to start the season because they were going to have to play the Seminoles and some point anyways.

Chryst referenced the fact that they tried to start last year with what should have been as easy win, and that didn't exactly work out.

"That line of thinking, you don't have to have that long of memory, and that doesn't work either," he said. "I think what's best for our program, and more importantly for our players right now, I think it was a great opportunity."

Chryst also assessed his first year at Pitt and who will replace Tino Sunseri at quarterback next year.
