Home & Garden Show To Feature Many New Products

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - It doesn't feel like it, but spring is right around the corner and that means the Home and Garden Show is too.

Organizers said it's the largest one ever and will feature some products that have never been seen before.

A thousand vehicles a day roll through nine acres of exhibit space, during three days of set-up for this year's Home and Garden Show.

"The Home and Garden Show this year is more than 1,600 exhibits, for the first time ever. It's the largest it has ever been. And out of all of those many, many hundreds of exhibits, literally so many new products you couldn't begin to count them," Home and Garden Show Director John DeSantis said.

Whirlpool has a brand new design called White Ice.

"This is the debut for this product. This was just released at the Kitchen and Bath Trade Show," DeSantis said.

The look is very different for kitchens and this is the first place that any consumer is going to be seeing the product line.

Also new is a drop ceiling of wood instead of white foam panels.

One other new feature this year will actually be something old.

The Soldiers and Sailors Museum will welcome visitors to a Gettysburg encampments, dating back a century and a half.

This year's show runs from March 1 to 10 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
