More Wet Weather Wednesday

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Wednesday's expected to be another wet day for Pittsburgh.

Although, it's not supposed to get slammed with the same steady amount of rain that fell Tuesday.

"I don't think it's going to be all day rain tomorrow," KDKA's chief meteorologist Jeff Verszyla said.

There will be scattered showers throughout the day and as it gets cooler later in the day, we could receive some wet snow.

The continued cold temperatures and precipitation is expected to turn into snow showers Wednesday night, as well as Thursday.

An area of low pressure is also headed for the Pittsburgh area that will linger for a few days.

"I do think by later in the day Thursday, the snow shower chance will diminish greatly," Verszyla said.

Verszyla said long range patterns suggest this weather will stick around for the first seven to 10 days of March.

"So spring nowhere in sight at this point," he said.
