Ohioville Police Chief Charged With Theft

OHIOVILLE BOUROUGH (KDKA) – Criminal theft charges have been filed against Ohioville Police Chief Ronald Lutton.

Pennsylvania State Police say Lutton is accused of padding departmental payroll records from 2009 to 2012.

Police say he falsified time sheets, submitted altered documents, and received wages for regular and overtime which he did not work.

Police say the chief made off with more than $45,000 dollars in money that didn't belong to him.

Lutton has been suspended since August while police conducted the investigation.

He has reportedly been working for Ohioville for more than 15 years.

Theft by deception charges were filed against him in Beaver.
