EAST MAHONING TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – An early Tuesday morning accident in Indiana County left two people dead.

According to the Indiana County Coroner’s Office, the accident happened on Route 403 in East Mahoning Township around 3 a.m.

The male driver of the vehicle was partially ejected when the vehicle hit a tree. Both he and a female passenger were killed in the crash.

They have been identified as Curtis Kunkle, 49, of Marion Center, and Marie Komlosky, 36, also of Marion Center.

Indiana County Coroner Michael Baker suspects that alcohol played a role in the crash, but toxicology tests are currently pending.
