RMU Coach Andrew Toole Ready For NEC Tournament & More

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Robert Morris men's basketball head coach Andrew Toole has his team on the verge of an NCAA Tournament bid. But first, they must win the NEC Tournament. Hours before leading the Colonials in the opening round, Toole joins Vinnie & Cook on Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan.

Coach Toole is happy to have earned home-court advantage throughout the NEC Tournament.

"We had to go on the road and win two semifinal games, and then had to play two championship games on the road, which were extremely difficult. Unfortunately, we weren't successful in those games. So, we talked all year long about hosting the tournament. It doesn't guarantee anything, but given the choice, I'd rather be at home than on the road," he said.

In the opening round, Robert Morris faces St. Francis-Brooklyn, who beat the Colonials the last time these teams met.

"They're really physical," Toole says of the Terriers. "They really try to take you out of your set offense and make life difficult. Hopefully we can make some adjustments that allow us to get some better looks."

Coach Toole also tells how the Colonials were able to have a successful regular season, and reveals the challenges of coaching a mid-major.
