Woman Dies While In Custody At McKeesport Police Department
McKEESPORT (KDKA) -- Allegheny County homicide detectives were called to the McKeesport Police Department Friday night where a woman died while in police custody.
Police say 52-year-old Judyanne Datig of McKeesport was found unresponsive around 9:30 p.m. She was in jail on charges of public drunkenness.
Once she was discovered, police officers and medics tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate her. She was pronounced dead about 20 minutes later.
Allegheny County Police and the Allegheny County Medical Examiner investigated.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office says she took her own life.
