Time To Spring Forward! Remember To Set Clocks For Daylight Saving Time

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) -- Does this weekend's warmer, sunnier weather have you thinking spring?

Well, this is also the weekend that we'll be springing ahead for daylight saving time.

Officially, the change starts Sunday at 2 a.m., so don't forget to reset your clocks before going to bed.

While it does means losing an hour of sleep, we will also be gaining an hour more of evening sunlight in the coming months.

Not every place makes the switch though. The exceptions are Hawaii, most of Arizona, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas.

Daylight saving time is also a good time to put new batteries in warning devices such as smoke detectors and hazard warning radios.

It ends Nov. 3.
