Teen Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Girl At Western Psych

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A disturbing case of sexual assault is under investigation at Western Psych Hospital in Oakland.

The alleged victim is an 8-year-old girl, who says she was forced to perform sex acts in a children's playroom.

Police are investigating the allegations that 14-year-old boy was the one who sexually assaulted the girl.

Sources confirm the alleged assault took place at the hospital Friday night. The boy and the girl were in the children's playroom in the emergency room at Western Psych. It's reported the two did not know each other.

Sources also indicated that a nurse found the pair. The boy allegedly said, "I didn't do it" when the nurse walked in and that the girl had her pants down. The girl allegedly said the boy forced her to perform a sex act.

The sources say that supervisors, the girl's family and police were notified immediately. Police are said to have spoken with everyone involved.

Western Psych said its policy is to have the doors to the playroom open at all time and the door was open when the alleged assault happened.

Police do not know what will happen to the 14-year-old boy and if he'll face charges.
