Man Leads Carrick Police On Foot Chase
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – An overnight fight led to a chase in Carrick.
Police say around 2 a.m., they got a call from the owner of the Brownsville Inn for a large fight.
When police arrived on scene, they found a large group of people outside of the bar. Reportedly, one individual was said to have a gun.
And when police tried to approach the man, he ran down Maytide Street.
As the man jumped a fence, police tried to tase him. However, the taser was only able to attach to his jacket, which came off as the suspect continued running away.
Police then brought in two K-9 units and set up a perimeter, eventually catching the man.
He was then taken to the hospital for a few minutes to be checked out.
Police say, despite reports of a gun, they were not able to find a weapon and charges are pending.
