The Future Of The PLCB

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) -What will happen to the state stores after the Pa. House of Representatives moved quickly on a bill to privatized the state liquor stores?

Joe Conti, CEO of the PLC, was not happy that the Pa. State House moved the bill out of committee on Monday and voted on the bill on Wednesday with very little debate.

"The Senate of Pennsylvania is going to handle this in a completely different way. I can assure you they are going to take weeks if not months to hold hearings," Conti said. "This is a serious piece of legislation far different from anything else we have seen."

Conti also said that privatizing the state stores will hurt small business and affect a lot of families.

Rob Pratte and Conti talked about the new Wexford store that is the 21st rebranded store and they will unveil their next rebranded store in Monroeville toward the end of April.

These new stores offer other things such as tasting bars that are not found at a normal state store.

Listen to Rob Pratte every weekend from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.
