Woman Fired From Job At Gas Station After Ex-Boyfriend Drove Through Door

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A woman continues to recover after police say she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend who drove his car into the Westmoreland County convenience store where she works.

On Wednesday, when she returned to work, Amber Lewis' boss fired her.

She says she can't understand why her boss was so sympathetic after the attack, and then showed her the door, 24 hours later.

"She hugged me, she comforted me, and then she told me take the week off and then they all just changed their minds and I'm no longer employed," Lewis said.

Police say Lewis' ex-boyfriend, David Cass, Jr., attacked her because he wanted his house keys and PlayStation back.
