Water Main Break Shuts Off Service To Some Homes In Etna
ETNA (KDKA) -- Crews spent much of the evening repairing a water main that burst in Etna late Thursday afternoon.
They had to dig a large trench along Locust Street.
The break sent water gushing into the basement of 106 Locust.
The Hampton-Shaler Water Authority says nearly 70 homes were without service for a couple of hours, but they got it restored around 8 p.m.
Crews brought in heavy equipment and blocked off the street while they also fixed the service line to one of the homes.
