Former Police Chief Harper To Plead Guilty

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Former Pittsburgh Police Chief Nate Harper says he plans to plead guilty to conspiracy and tax evasion charges.

Our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette say that Harper's attorney says he is still talking with federal investigators.

Harper was indicted on one count of conspiracy for allegedly using public funds for personal use.

The indictment accused Harper of transferring 70-thousand dollars to an unauthorized account, and spending roughly 32-thousand dollars of that money on personal expenses.
