Pirates Prospect Stetson Allie Is Showing Off His Power At The Plate

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - After making the transition in the middle of the season last year from pitcher to position player, nothing but questions surrounded the development of Pirates prospect Stetson Allie.

Allie joined Starkey, Miller and Mueller on The FAN to talk about the six home runs he has hit in the first fourteen games of the year, and how his hard work during the offseason is paying off.

"It's been a long process.  Me and the coaching staff worked our tails off, and this isn't my first season as a hitter," Allie said.  "Last year I went back and worked on a lot of stuff.  Worked some kinks out with two years off, and this year I came in very confident and did what I can do, and I'm blessed to have a good start like this."

We also got an idea from Allie what life on the road is like on a day-to-day basis for a guy playing Single-A baseball.

"We watch a lot of comedy movies.  We talk a lot of smack to each other.  Just making fun because the more fun you make it, the better it is."

Allie also talked about playing alongside Pirates prospect Josh Bell and what he has seen from him in his development.
