Police: Pa. Couple Took Baby During Burglary

RIDGWAY, Pa. (AP) — State police have charged a young couple with burglarizing a northwestern Pennsylvania home and taking an 11-month-old baby in the process, but are releasing few other details in the case.

Troopers from the Ridgway barracks and Elk County District Attorney Bradley Kraus did not immediately return calls on the charges against 19-year-old Breanna Uhl and 21-year-old Roger Dugan III.

Police say the couple entered a Fox Township home on Monday and took the baby, whose name has not been released by police.

The couple is not charged with kidnapping, but with interfering in child custody. It wasn't immediately clear if the child is theirs or why it would have been in the custody of the home's owner.

Online court records don't list an attorney for the defendants who face a preliminary hearing May 7.
