Motive Unknown In Bethel Park Assault On Business Owners
BETHEL PARK (KDKA) - A local business owner shot and killed a man who attacked his wife at their business on Saturday.
Detectives spent the weekend interviewing people and trying to determine what set the suspect off.
According to police, the suspect has been identified Andrew Moore, 31, of Venetia.
Police said he walked into Armen's House of Music just before noon. Both owners are in their 70s and watched as he browsed for a few minutes. He then walked out and came back with a club.
Police said that is when Moore began to beat the woman. Her husband grabbed his gun and shot and killed Moore.
Police are still investigating and are working with Allegheny County Police. At this time, they are still trying to determine why Moore targeted the couple and what triggered the assault.
