Police Investigating Alleged Assault Of Teen Girl On School Trip

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Students at Neshannock High School took a field trip to New York City, but the return bus ride was anything but fun.

Police are now investigating whether students involved in a game of touch took advantage of a sleeping 15-year-old girl, touching her inappropriately, then writing about it the next day through social media.

"I don't take media but I was using the computer in the room I heard a bunch of the girls who had come back from the trip talking about it," said student Christian Na.

"I was horrified to hear that I guess," said student Meagan Johntony.

Police say the girl became aware of what allegedly happened after reading about it, told her mother who alerted police.

So far they say 10 witnesses have been interviewed but no charges have been filed.

"Justice should serve him, I mean because he did something that was wrong," said student Chris Clark. "I didn't know what to believe. I still don't. I know some of the things were very wrong and gross that happened."

The school says the matter has been turned over to police, but it could be several more days until the investigation is complete.

Until then, students are left to speculate on what really happened and what the fall out will be.
