Worker Injured In Trench Accident In Baldwin

BALDWIN (KDKA) -- A man was injured this afternoon while working in a trench in Baldwin.

According to Allegheny County emergency dispatchers, it happened at Gardenville Road and Koeffler Road.

Officials say the Penn American Water crew was working in the trench when a pipe broke and fell against the worker's leg.

The worker suffered a broken ankle.

No collapse was reported and crews continue to work at the scene.
