Medical Frontiers: Pregnancy

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Dr. Gerald Pifer hosted Medical Frontiers talked about pregnancy and bringing babies in the world with Dr. Eugune Socha and Dr. Elizabeth Knepp.

One of the subjects discussed is information overload by patients who are armed with questions that weren't considered 5-10 years ago. With advances in medicine come earlier care for pregnant women, and doctors and patients need to make decisions sooner than before.

Also discussed was proper nutrition and the importance of folic acid, new medications, and advanced technique to insure a healthy mom and baby.
