Voters Head To Polls For Primary Elections

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Today is Primary Election Day in Pennsylvania and there's a big race up for decision in Pittsburgh.

The mayoral race has been interesting, if not ugly at times. By all measures, it has been one of the more negative campaigns with each candidate blasting each other on policy and honesty as they vie for the Democratic nomination.

"Between [Jack] Wagner and [Luke] Ravenstahl, over double the amount of money we have on TV and radio. They had a seven-point lead when we started out and that lead has evaporated," Bill Peduto said.

"When someone starts telling lies about you, you have to go back and correct the story, the information, just not about myself but about himself," Jack Wagner said.

When this all started, Wagner had about a seven-point lead. Now, there are some polls putting Peduto seven points up on Wagner.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
