Storms Possible Today, Then Hot Temperatures Move In

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Before warmer temperatures move into the area later this week, another round of wet weather could bring strong storms, high winds and hail today.

KDKA meteorologist Dennis Bowman says there's a potential for storms this afternoon and evening with a high of 79.

"We'll have some strong storm potential for the afternoon and early evening. Some of these may have some gusty winds, maybe a little bit of hail in them," said Bowman. "The greater likelihood for stronger storms looks like it's going to be up around the Interstate 80 corridor."

He says the storms will begin dying down during the evening hours.

Then, on Wednesday, we'll see some sunshine but temperatures will climb into the upper-80s.

On Thursday and Friday, conditions will be mostly sunny, hot and humid with a high of 90 on both days.

Heading into the weekend, we could see a late-day thunderstorm with a high of 87.
