FAYETTE COUNTY (KDKA) — Connellsville and State police are warning people about vandalism in Connellsville and surrounding areas.

Numerous mailboxes have been smashed on Stadium Road, Amity Drive and Falls Avenue.

For people like Patrick Lowe, it’s a reoccurring problem. His house has been hit twice. His neighbors have been hit even more.

“This is the second time I’ve been hit,” Lowe said. “Other people have been hit three, four, five times.”

In the city of Connellsville there have been problems on Cedar Avenue.

One person had their car keyed, another car’s side mirror was damaged.

Police are now following up on leads in both cases. They want to make it clear to whoever is doing it that if caught, they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent regardless of their age.

Police are also asking people living in these areas to pay close attention to what is going on around them as we head into the summer months.
