JetBlue Pilot Makes Jab At Penguins Star Sidney Crosby
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Penguins are down 2-0 to the Boston Bruins, and they're now finding themselves the butt of a few jokes.
One of those jokes happened Tuesday morning as members of the Boston media flew back home on a JetBlue flight.
Prior to takeoff there was reportedly a child crying on board. That's when a JetBlue pilot decided to have a little fun at Sidney Crosby's expense.
"Is that Sidney Crosby in the back of our plane?" the pilot asked over the loudspeaker.
Boston media sent out multiple tweets about the comment.
JetBlue even sent out a tweet of their own, saying "Gotta love Boston based pilots!"
Pens fans, don't seem to be as amused. Some tweeting to the airlines that they should issue an apology. Others threatening to never fly the airline again.
The Penguins hope to turn things around when they visit the Bruins for game three Wednesday night.
