Police Arrest Suspect In Ambridge Bank Robbery

AMBRIDGE (KDKA) -- Police say they have made an arrest in a Wednesday afternoon bank robbery in Beaver County.

Investigators say the suspect, identified as 47-year-old Robert Cole of Ambridge, was taken into custody around 6:30 p.m.

The robbery happened just before 1:30 p.m. at the Huntingdon Bank in the 700-block of Merchant Street in Ambridge.

Police say the suspect walked into the bank, demanded money with no dye packs and told the tellers he had a weapon.

However, no gun was seen during the incident.

Authorities say no customers were in the bank at the time, just four tellers.
