Steelers RB Isaac Redman Relishes Competition

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Pittsburgh Steelers RB Isaac Redman joins Vinnie & Cook on Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan for an update on the team during its mini-camp session.

"I feel like we're light years ahead of where we were last year, which is a good thing," Redman reports. "We're clicking. We've got the offense down pat. We've changed a few things to better our offense, and I feel like we're looking great."

Many eyes will be on the Steelers backfield in the upcoming season, and with no clear frontrunner for the starting job, Redman knows the competition will be fierce.

"It's going to be a heated competition when we get to training camp," Redman says. "If you're not built for it, then you're gonna lag in the back. I'm here to compete. When things start firing in training camp, we'll see who's built for competition and who's not."

"I'm here to compete, and I definitely have a chip on my shoulder to prove myself," he added.

Redman also sizes up the rest of the candidates in the backfield, reacts to being Ben Roethlisberger's wife's favorite player, and gives the latest inside the Steelers locker room.
