Child Hospitalized After Near Drowning In Monroeville
MONROEVILLE (KDKA) -- A young child was hospitalized following a near drowning at a local sports club in Monroeville.
The incident happened Friday afternoon at The Club Sports & Health on Raquet Lane.
The child was taken to Children's Hospital for treatment.
In a statement, the CFO of Club Sport & Health James Filipovic said he was proud of the response from the staff, saying:
"There was an incident at our pool today, which required intervention by our lifeguard staff and local paramedics. We are unable to release any information about those involved, but we are proud of the actions taken by our staff and are keeping the family in our thoughts."
No other details were available.
