Police Seek 2 Suspects In Squirrel Hills Street Robbery

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh police are asking for help from the public as they search for two suspects wanted in connection with a knifepoint robbery on a street in Squirrel Hill.

The incident happened in the 5800-block of Hobart Street last Monday afternoon.

Police say the victim was getting into her parked car when she felt one of the suspect's pulling at her bag. The victim told officers that the suspect "flipped open a long, serrated knife" and order her to hand over her bag.

The suspect is described as a white male with dirty blonde hair. He was wearing a white tee-shirt.

According to police, the victim released her bag, shut and locked her car doors and then watched the suspect run across the street between two houses.

Officers searched the area for the bag, which was full of work materials as well as a cell phone, a wallet with $30 and credit cards.

Police have released surveillance photos from the Home Depot in East Liberty where the two suspects were later seen using the credit cards stolen during the robbery.
