PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Police say a couple of thieves took to the water to steal supplies from a company in Franklin, Venango County.

On Friday, residents reported seeing two men on a kayak floating down French Creek, stopping at Franklin Industries — and removing steel from the property.

Police Located 22-year-old Joseph Ketcham and 30-year-old Daniel Ketcham, both of Meadville, and a 15-year-old juvenile who allegedly unloaded the steel at the edge of the creek bed.

The trio was loading the kayak and the stolen goods into a trailer.

Police took all three into custody.

But later that day, after being released, Ketcham allegedly returned to retrieve the steel.

This time, officers pulled him over, and arrested him again for theft and receiving stolen property.
