SHARPSBURG (KDKA) – They have his picture, but not his identity. Allegheny County police need your help to track down a man who sexually assaulted a 12-year-old Sharpsburg girl.

The girl says she first met the man on a dating website.

Investigators released a photograph of the suspect who identified himself only as “Tommy”.

Investigators don’t know if that’s his real name, or an alias.

Detective Robert Opferman said the girl chatted online with him for several days, then he came to Sharpsburg on a PAT bus.

The girl told detectives the two went to a riverbank in town, where she was sexually assaulted.

Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to a thousand dollars for information leading to the arrest and conviction of “Tommy.”
