2 Injured In Beaver County Crash

HANOVER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – State police are investigating a violent Wednesday morning crash in Beaver County.

According to police, the accident happened around 5 a.m., along Route 168 in Hanover Township near the Ponderosa Golf Course.

A vehicle being driven by 25-year-old Michelle Parsons was traveling south when it crossed the center line directly into path of a drilling company utility truck.

Investigators said the driver of the heavy duty Ford F350 swerved off the road, but couldn't maneuver away from the oncoming SUV.

The SUV ended up being pinned under the Ford and Parsons was inside with severe injuries. Firefighters were eventually able to cut Parsons out of the mangled vehicle.

She was flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, where she was last listed in serious condition.

The driver of the Ford F350, Earl Dye, 63, of Hookstown, broke his foot and has other injuries. However, none are considered life-threatening. He was taken to Beaver Medical Center.

Troopers are still trying to figure out what caused Parsons' vehicle to drift into the oncoming lane.
