Body Of Missing Woman Found, Husband Charged

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The body of an East Deer woman who went missing Tuesday has been found.

Police say around 7:10 a.m. Saturday they found 50-year-old Jill Clark's body near a gas line in Plum Borough. She appeared to have been beaten to death.

Clark was reported missing earlier this week, after not showing up for work at the Post Office in Penn Hills.

According to police, she left home Tuesday morning, after a fight with her husband.

Her husband, 50-year-old Thomas Clark was found Friday night after police found his truck at Deer Lakes Park. Police say he was found after a failed suicide attempt.

Lt. Andrew Schurman, of the Allegheny County Police Department, told KDKA's Ralph Iannotti Friday night after Clark was found, "Thomas Clark will be treated at a local hospital, and we want to speak with him at length about his (missing) wife, Jill."

However, as of Saturday morning, Clark had been charged in his wife's death on several counts, including homicide, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.

He is currently in the Allegheny County Jail.
