NHL Network's Steve Mears: Scuderi Signing Is 'Perfect' For Pens
PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The Pittsburgh Penguins have been busy this offseason, and NHL Network host Steve Mears joined Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan's Vinnie & Cook to break it all down.
Mears loves seeing Rob Scuderi back in a Penguins uniform.
"That's exactly what they needed on the blue line," Mears says. "He's a winner. He wants to be there, and I think it's perfect. That's the kind of player the Penguins have needed. I think they should clone Scuderi if there's a way and get another one of him because they're still lacking depth on the blue line. But getting Rob Scuderi is a huge step."
Mears also weighs in on the other moves the Penguins have made, tells whether those moves are enough, and singles out two other teams that have made the best improvements so far this offseason.
