Police Seek Suspect In Armed Convenience Store Robbery

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh police are asking for help from the public in identifying the suspect wanted in a convenience store armed robbery.

The robbery happened just after 9 p.m. on July 3 at the Buy N Fly on the 7300-block of Butler Street in the city's Morningside section.

Police say the suspect, who was armed with a silver handgun, came into the store and demanded money from the two clerks on duty.

According to authorities, he then ordered the pair to the back of the store and told them to count to 60.

He got then got away through the front door and headed toward Baker Street.

The suspect is described as an African American male with a medium build, five-feet-10-inches tall and between 20- to 30-years-old. He also has a tattoo on his right forearm.

He was wearing a black tee-shirt and a Los Angeles Dodgers' black and white stripped baseball cap.

Police say they are offering a money reward for the person who can identify the suspect.
