Thieves Hit Ross Township Homes

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Ross Township police are asking residents to stay vigilant after thieves hit two homes in the area.

So far two homes have been hit along York Drive near Jacks Run Road.

Police say the robberies happened mid-afternoon on July 9th.

One home had a broken window, and the thieves made off with cash and jewelry.

"We don't have stuff like that happening, not often," one neighbor said.

Some of that jewelry was recovered in the woods behind the home.

The thieves also hit another home through an unlocked door.

Police do have a description of a suspect.

They say he is a white man, in his late-teens to early-20s.

He has a thin to skinny build, dark shoulder length curly hair, and a goatee.

If you have any information, call Ross Township police.
