Crews Work To Repair Strip District Water Main Break

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Crews are working to repair a water main break in Pittsburgh's Strip District.

According to officials at the scene, the break happened in the 1500-block of Penn Avenue around 1 p.m.

Water was coming out of multiple spots in the street and the road was becoming soft, prompting officials to worry about a potential sinkhole forming.

The water has been shut off and Penn Avenue is closed from 15th Street to 16th Street in both directions.
