4 Charged, 1 Paralyzed After Weekend Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Three men are charged in a weekend shooting that left another man paralyzed and so is the mother of the two suspects.

"I seen the cops coming this way," said neighbor Sally Mullen.

When gun shots rang out early Sunday morning on Stanley Street in Greenfield, Mullen didn't like what she saw.

"I only walked half the way up because I didn't want to get involved with the cops," Mullen said.

According to the criminal complaint, the shots came from an incident at the corner involving two groups of guys in two different cars.

Police aren't sure what started the confrontation, but two of those involved were twin brothers Ryan and Brian Kelley who live on Stanley Street.

The Kelleys were charged in the incident that may leave one victim with life-long injuries. But when police went to their home to search for evidence, their mother Margaret Mannion refused to open the door.

Police suspected Mannion was inside destroying evidence and forced their way inside. There they found Mannion who said she has been cleaning the stove, according to the criminal complaint, with a piece of melted black plastic that appeared to be the handle of a firearm.

"It's crazy out there," Mullen said. "Getting crazier every day."
