Beyond The Baselines: A Special Connection With The Pirates On Faith Night
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- The few thousand Pirates fans who attended the ball club's first annual Faith Night after Thursdays 13-0 loss to the Cardinals were treated to an different, more personal side of several Pirates players and staff.
Fans cheered as Andrew McCutchen, Mark Melancon, manager Clint Hurdle and other shared their stories of their belief in God.
It gave many fans a connection with the players on a much different level than watching them perform between the lines.
