Teke On Pirates: 'This Team Is Different'
PITTSBURGH (93.7 THE FAN)-- The Pirates came back after losing two straight, to pick up a couple of wins against the Rockies to win the weekend series. To talk about the team, the Fan Morning Show talked to former Pirates closer, and current ROOT Sports Analyst, Kent Tekulve.
Teke tells us that a collapse similar to that of the last two seasons is very unlikely.
"This team is different in the fact that those [losing] streaks are not going to get extended like they have in the past," Tekulve said.
A.J. Burnett was lights-out in the game on Sunday throwing a complete game and allowing just one run while striking out nine batters.
"A.J. had his entire game going," Teke said. "All of his pitches were working."
