PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- The 2013-14 men's basketball schedule is coming to fruition little by little for Pitt, which released network and tip-off times Thursday for the annual Big Ten/ACC Basketball Challenge, including its home contest with Penn State.

The Panthers and Nittany Lions will meet at The Pete Tue., Dec. 3 at 7:30 P.M. The in-state rivalry game will be seen nationally on ESPNU, and it will be heard locally on SportsRadio 93.7 The Fan, your flagship home for Panthers hoops.

The remainder of its 2013-14 men's basketball schedule, including tip-off times and other television appearances, will be released by Pitt later this month.

Over the last two months, it has announced other notable non-conference games, including dates with Big East refugee Cincinnati as part of the 2013 Jimmy V Classic Tue., Dec. 17 at New York's Madison Square Garden, and with Texas Tech and either Stanford or Houston as part of the 2013 Legends Classic at Brooklyn's Barclays Center Nov. 25-26.

Prior to those tournaments, Howard and Lehigh come to the Petersen Events Center Nov. 17 and 20, respectively, as part of the Legends Classic.

The Panthers return three starters (point guard James Robinson and forwards Lamar Patterson and Talib Zanna) from a team entering its inaugural ACC season after leaving the Big East with a 24-9 overall record and advancing to their 11th NCAA Tournament in the last 12 years.
