PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) –CBS RADIO Pittsburgh hosted The Marcellus Shale Festival on Thursday, Aug. 15 at Stage AE.

The Festival was designed to celebrate all that Marcellus Shale brings to our region.

The goal is to maximize public and private partnership on Marcellus Shale. Visitors were able to see informational exhibits, and take part in a KDKA Town Hall Meeting.

There was also an official Pittsburgh Premiere of the movie “FrackNation” with a meet and greet with director journalist Phelim McAleer and co-producer Ann McElhinney. The day ended with a show from national recording artist Phil Vassar.

NewsRadio 1020 KDKA personality Mike Pintek hosted the Town Hall Meeting on “Marcellus Shale – A True Public-Private Partnership: Maximizing the Resource.” The guest panel included Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, Pa. State Rep. Jim Christiana, Pa. State Sen. Tim Solobay, United States Congressman Tim Murphy and Matt Pitzarella, Director of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at Range Resources.
