NEW CASTLE (KDKA) – A New Castle man taking a bath got quite a surprise, two burglars in his house.

Police tell the New Castle News that the man was taking a bath upstairs in his home at the 700 block of Ridge Street when he heard a noise downstairs.

He told police he got out of the tub and started down the stairs to investigate when he saw a man standing in the doorway.

He said the intruder saw him and ran out of the side door, while another man also ran out of the house.

Police say the men were wearing black hoodies and pants, and their faces were mostly covered by the hoods.

The paper reports the burglars got away with $177 in cash and jewelry.
