Police Seek Couple Accused Of Stealing Vacuums, Hitting Clerk With Car Door

INDIANA, Pa. (KDKA) -- State Police are investigating a robbery at the Sears at the Indiana Mall.

The incident happened around 8:55 p.m. Thursday as the store was getting ready to close.

A man and woman took two Dyson vacuums, valued at a total of more than $800, and left without paying.

A 22-year-old clerk followed the couple out of the store and confronted them at their car.

That's when she was hit with a car door before the couple took off.

The clerk was taken to the hospital, but was not seriously injured.

Police already have suspects in the case.

The couple signed up for a shopper's club card shortly before the robbery using their real names, but a fake address.

Not a smart move, for thieves who clearly knew what they were after.

If you have any information, contact State Police at the Indiana barracks.
