Child Hospitalized After Being Hit By Jeep In Aliquippa

HANOVER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- State police continue to investigate after a child was struck by a vehicle that had just dropped him off at a home in Beaver County Thursday afternoon.

The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. in Hershberger's Trailer Court off of Route 151 in Hanover Township.

According to state police, 41-year-old Jennifer Selinsky of Aliquippa had just dropped the 7-year-old first grader off at a home there when she didn't see him and hit the child with her 2005 Jeep Liberty in the driveway.

The boy suffered a head injury in the incident.

He was flown by medical helicopter to Children's Hospital for treatment.

There's no word on his condition.

The investigation continues.
