Elderly Woman Killed In Indiana Co. Crash

WHITE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- An elderly woman was killed and two other people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Indiana County.

The accident happened around 4:15 p.m. along Route 286 near Abbey Road in White Township.

State police identify the victim as 80-year-old Martha Sybert of Renfrew.

According to investigators, Sybert lost control of her 2003 Dodge Neon, crossed the center line, and then crashed into a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck.

Sybert was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other people were injured, Sybert's passenger – 55-year-old Matthew Sybert of Butler, and the driver of the truck – 48-year-old John Stark of Latrobe.

They were both taken by ambulance to Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment.

There's no word on their conditions.
