Missing Woman Suffering From Dementia, Diabetes Found In Neshannock Twp.

NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Authorities in Lawrence County are searching for a missing woman who suffers from dementia and diabetes.

According to officials, 77-year-old Betty Richardson was last seen at her son's home in the 200-block of Catalina Drive in Neshannock Township.

She had been staying with them after her family moved her out of a nursing home three weeks ago.

Officials say Richardson's family reported her missing this morning after discovering she was not in her bedroom around 11:30 a.m.

The front door was unlocked, but officials say her family isn't sure if that's how she got out of the home.

Richardson wears glasses, but was not believed to have them on when she left the home.

Searchers have brought in dogs to assist in the search around the area of the home. Also, they may bring in a helicopter.
