Police: Off-Duty Officer Charged After Punching Man Who Mooned Bus At Kid Rock Concert
BURGETTSTOWN, Pa. (KDKA/AP) — An off-duty police officer from central Pennsylvania has been charged with aggravated assault because police say he punched a man who allegedly exposed his buttocks to people on a bus in which the officer was riding after a Kid Rock concert near Pittsburgh.
Online court records don't list an attorney for Altoona Officer Matthew Plummer, who was charged by Hanover Township police following Saturday night's concert at First Niagara Pavilion.
Police say they also plan to charge the man who allegedly mooned the busload of fans before Plummer exited the vehicle to confront him.
Police in Hanover Township and Altoona have not commented on the incident, but court papers indicate Plummer believed the other man had also thrown a bottle at the bus. The other man denied that, but allegedly tried to punch Plummer before he was hit.
