Arrest Warrant Issued For Swissvale Homicide Suspect

SWISSVALE (KDKA) – An arrest warrant has been issued for a man accused of killing his ex-wife's boyfriend in Swissvale.

Ryan Beal, 27, was found dead Aug. 31 at the bottom of a staircase inside a house he shared with his girlfriend in the 7400-block of Duquesne Avenue.

Through the course of the investigation, Allegheny County police determined that David Edick was the person who shot and killed Beal.

Edick is the former husband of Beal's girlfriend.

Detectives believe Edick broke into the apartment and fought with Beal before shooting him multiple times.

An arrest warrant for Edick has been issued, charging him with homicide and burglary.

Police believe Edick may have fled that state.

"We do have reason to believe he has fled the area and may have even fled the state, so we're asking anybody with information concerning his whereabouts to call the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force," said Lt. Andrew Schurman, of Allegheny County Police.

He is 27-years-old, roughly 5'7" tall, and weighs 150-pounds.

Edick has family in the Syracuse, N.Y. area, and was most recently living in the Brookline section of Pittsburgh.

If you have any information, call police.
