Flags Fly Along Grandview Avenue To Remember 9/11

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburghers are remembering the 9/11 anniversary in their own ways.

One woman is hoping people won't forget, and she's doing it by putting up hundreds of flags along Grandview Avenue on Mt. Washington.

"Everyone asks me, are the flags going up this year?"

Darla D'Anna and her ex-husband put up the flags every 9/11.

She says she does it so that people won't forget just how good the country was during that time.

"I hope we don't forget, and I hope we don't have to be reminded again," D'Anna told KDKA's Ross Guidotti.

D'Anna starts putting the flags up before the sun comes up, so that people driving by will see them in the morning.
